but it may help to keep poland friendly just in case. (can't remember it's name, the one that forms prussia) happened to me when i vassalised that order. just don't take the order beside pom, as poland has claims on it, and WILL break off your alliance straight away. If you do aly with poland, and take pom, or somewhere else, and a coalition forms against, poland will become the bigger partner, and all you do is go around siege their little single provinces, and poland will literally give them all to you, as long as you do not attack their leader first. but if you vassalise HRE provinces instead, such a pomerania, they do not give the said core return message. probably poland be better, as you may end pu fighting austria, or if you keep taking cores they will ask you to give them back, and if you say no they take a rep hit against you. note that this may piss a few people off, so stay allied w/ poland or austria. If you can form an alliance w/ poland if austria doen't like you, they are very strong early game, and can help you alot, in my brandenburg game i vassalised pomerania straight away w/ poland as my ally, they did all the work i just sieged their capital. they have apretty good start position, their 3 or so provinces and the hansa sort of miniblobbed out a bit.
They hansa a re doiing pretty well in my ottoman game, sweden broke off and formed scandanavia it'self.
